Joseph and Karen Kovecses practice the Japanese art of flower arranging, Ikebana. Traditionally the arrangements themselves tend to be spare and elegant in their simplicity. The vessels which contain these arrangements must also embody the restrained refinement of the art. The Kovecses’ have accomplished just this. The careful selection of woods, the satin finishes in the wood’s own natural tones, and the craftsmanship all combine in the composed balance of the finished piece.
