Laura Adams Wilson's Pouring Technique

​This year has been an incredibly productive and prolific year for Laura Adams Wilson. After nearly selling out her last show at Thornebrook Gallery, Laura has returned with a new series that shows her experimentation with her unique technique and the paint itself. 
    
Her pouring technique has evolved in both its paint manipulation and the layering. This incredibly delicate process can be very unforgiving, but through much trial and error, with multiple mediums, Laura truly feels she has taken her art to the next level.

Becoming inspired by the idea of transformation, seeking light through dark, Laura has featured metallics heavily in this series. But this series also has a softer sense, almost dreamlike. She has strived to balance the power of the modern technique she uses, with a softer more sophisticated sense of control.

Laura is honored to once again show at Thornebrook Gallery, and to be so warmly received by her hometown.
