Galatea's Carved Tahitian Pearl Pendant has a surprise inside! The interior bead is man-made turquoise, specially manufactured to Galatea's specifications for the creation of this pearl. Here are the Galatea Hand Carved Tahitian Pearl Earrings to complete your set.

The Story

When an oyster swallows a grain of sand it feels the discomfort, so it begins to ease the pain by applying a coat of nacre (pearl). It is during this healing process that it creates a beautiful pearl. It is rather ironic to think that something so beautiful can be created from so much discomfort. This is like life itself. It is easy to love in good times but it takes courage to love through the discomforts of our lives. The color gem represents the grain of sand and the pearl evokes an aura of courage, love and healing. It is this unique transformation that has given birth to Galatea the Symbol of Love.

World's first pearl with colored nucleus. GIA call it "Known as Galatea Pearl" It is a real Culture pearl Patent by Galatea # US20040112086A1
