The majority of the work by Scott Nelles, though influenced by known objects, is still his original interpretation of those objects. When he was looking for inspiration to create an aircraft toy he came upon the Lockheed Vega from the 1930's. As hard as he tried, he didn't think he could top the look of this beautiful little plane. So here we present to you his version of the aircraft that Amelia Earhart used to fly the Atlantic.
